Important note about off-game activity before the event:

In this larp, participants are asked to communicate with their in-game connections, and submit their character name and pronouns before the event. Participants are encouraged to stay active within the community via the Players-Only Discord Server, and make more connections to enrich their experience.

Participants cast as THE OWNER, THE KEEPER and THE POLTERGEIST will be asked to name the hotel. The participant cast as THE OWNER will be asked to provide a character portrait to organisers before the event.

Themes:

These themes will be played on heavily at the larp and players are probably not able to avoid them:

Death
Ghosts
Ghosts possessing mortals, including ghosts persuading mortals to do things like injuring or killing other mortals
Lack of escape/feeling trapped in a specific location
Fake but realistic blood
Simulated physical violence

These themes may be played on, but are avoidable by players who feel uncomfortable with them. Also, characters containing these themes will have appropriate content warnings:

Toxic or potentially abusive relationships
Consensual sex / intimacy
Death of a relative/loved one
Child death and/or harm to minors
Suicide and self-harm
Drugs/substance abuse

These themes will not be present at STAY whatsoever:

Pedophilia
Sexual violence / rape
Discrimination/bigotry— including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-Semitism, ableism, and ageism

These themes will be absent from the larp because they are irrelevant to the setting and lore:

Real life politics 
Real life religion other than vague inspirations
Real life historic events
Real life famous personalities

Real life serial killers will not be played on, because they are being replaced in the lore with the fictional Serial Killer characters. These will be made known/famous via pre game information and preparation.
